2 cups 2 Rice (pre-soaked)
4 cups 4 Carrot-grated
2 cups 2 Sugar
4 4 Green Cardamom (Chhoti Ilaichi)
4 4 Cloves (Laung)
a few drps a few Kewra Essence
1/4 cup 1/4 Oil or Ghee
Directions
- Put rice in a pot and pour water above the level of the rice.
- Heat it till the water boils. Continue to cook till rice is half done. Drain and keep aside.
- In the pot, add the oil/ghee and fry the ilaichi and cloves in it lightly.
- Add the sugar, carrot and rice.
- Mix together and cover and cook on very low heat till the rice are done, water is dried and the carrots have become very tender.
- Serve hot alone or cold with fresh cream.
