1/2 cup Sugar (adjust to taste)
1 Milk
1/2 kg Carrot (peeled and grated)
1/2 cup Rice
3 Green cardomom (ilaichi)
3 Kewra
- Garnish
3 tsp Coconut-powder
2 tsp Almond-crushed
2 tsp Pistachio-crushed
Directions
- In a pot add the milk and put on very low heat to boil.
- Add the ilaichi seeds and the rice and cook till the milk stars to thicken and the rice becomes very soft.
- Add the carrot and sugar and cook till the water is dried and the carrot become soft.
- Using the hand mixer, lighly mash the contents.
- Just before removing from heat, add a few drops of kewra essence.
- Garnish with the chopped dry nuts
- Serve hot or cold
