Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1 Milk

  • 1/2 kg Carrot (peeled and grated)

  • 1/2 cup Rice

  • 3 Green cardomom (ilaichi)

  • 3 Kewra

  • Garnish
  • 3 tsp Coconut-powder

  • 2 tsp Almond-crushed

  • 2 tsp Pistachio-crushed

Directions

  • In a pot add the milk and put on very low heat to boil.
  • Add the ilaichi seeds and the rice and cook till the milk stars to thicken and the rice becomes very soft.
  • Add the carrot and sugar and cook till the water is dried and the carrot become soft.
  • Using the hand mixer, lighly mash the contents.
  • Just before removing from heat, add a few drops of kewra essence.
  • Garnish with the chopped dry nuts
  • Serve hot or cold
