Ingredients
2 lbs 2 Minced Beef-finely ground
1.5 tsp. 1.5 Salt (adjust to taste)
1.5 tsp. 1.5 Red Chili-crushed
2 2 Onions-large-chopped
1/2 tbsp. 1/2 Garam Masala-powder
2 tbsp. 2 Lemon Juice
1 tbsp. 1 Ginger (Adrak)-paste
1 tbsp. 1 Garlic (Lehsan)-paste
1/2 cup 1/2 Fresh Coriander (Dhaniya) -eaves
1/2 cup 1/2 Yogurt
2 tbsp. 2 Raw Papaya-crushed
1 piece 1 Coal (for smoke flavour)
4 4 Green Chilies
- For Garnish
1/2 cup 1/2 Fresh Mint (Podina)-leaves
1 1 Lemon
2 2 Onions-medium size
Directions
- Chop and fry 1 large onion till brown.
- Mix the brown onion with all other spices, grind them and then add to the minced beef.
- Mix well, cover and leave in fridge to marinate for 4 hours.
- Keep the smoldering coal in the pot containing the mixture and cover it for few minutes for the meat to absorb the smoke.
- Form the mixture into long kababs (like sausage) or balls.
- Fry in a little oil or cook in the oven.
- Garnish with sliced onion, mint and lemon
- Serve with podina chutney and paratha or naan.
